Notes

Everything on the page is at a slant going up from left to right. You read left to right, which could imply that things are getting better.
- Green reminds you of money and the green and orange shades are almost complementary colours.
- There are 6 sections at the bottom making it busy, implying a lot of things or events are happening
- The mode of address is indirect and informal due to the use of '&' not 'and'. It is indirect because it isn't saying words such as 'I'.
     - The more bland colour scheme can insinuate that the magazine is a more serious one
- hand up not a hand down strap line of the big issue

     - The use of san serif and serif font can show that the magazine has more serious and traditional elements such as Brexit but also has less serious like spending money.
-    - The text layout is having the most eye catching words such as Brexit or Paolo Nutini in bigger writing than the rest of the title.

     - 'The only way us ethics' is a knock off to 'the only way is Essex'. This is also an eye catching

- Paisley is the most deprived area in Scotland. The fact that the big issue is talking about Paisley could suggest that they are trying to get some attention to the area and that the government needs to spend more money on the area. Social poverty, it use to be rich in culture.
- Paolo Nutini is from Paisley and he is one of Scotland's most famous singers so the fact that he is from there is brining more attention to the area. The big issue is advertising this so their standard of living in the bad areas can increase
-    - 'After Bexit will the poorest be better off' yes they will be better off, this can be linked to the fact that some of the poorest people are the big issue venders
     - Brexit causes the immigration rates to decrease, the costs of everyday goods have increased due to an increase in importation tax. The value of the pound has dropped which is not as beneficial and the economy has decreased. The working class will be better off than the poor promises made to the poor people may not necessarily come true

-    - Muhammed Yunus has a company that helps the poorest people start small companies and start earning money. This is linked to the big issue putting him on the front cover as he helps people like the vendors. Giving a hand up not a hand out as they get a small loan and have to repay

- By using celebrities on the front cover it causes more attention to be brought to the newspaper and promotes the ethical values of helping out the poor people. The cover lines are aimed more at the poorer ember sod society because the stories are about things that will affect them the most.
